What a difference! It is like seeing two distinctly different organisations with the same name: the new one living off the capital of its predecessor which it secretly despises, benefitting from what it inherited from the old organisation even as it spits on everything which that old organisation held dear. Not too different to the average Catholic parish or diocese pre- and post-Vatican II, come to think of it.

Please note — this wasn't some super-secret internal memo. These words are not being quoted from Cor Unum of 1986. This was a video which the SSPX produced for outsiders, this was them presenting themselves to the world. This is us, this is who we are, here's what we stand for, here's why you need to support us. Can you begin to imagine the modern SSPX saying half of those things? The branding consultants (whom they no doubt pay handsomely) would have a fit!

Who talks like this today? Not the SSPX, that's for sure. Not the late Bishop Williamson either, alas, or those who spent so much time and effort crawling to him. There are priests who still talk like this — not many, but they do exist. If you can't guess who I mean then perhaps you need to subscribe to the youtube channel of Frs. Hewko and Ruiz (www.youtube.com/@SSPX-MarianCorps) and listen to a few of their sermons.

St. Pius X, ora pro nobis!
"So let us be confident, let us not be unprepared, let us not be outflanked, let us be wise, vigilant, fighting against those who are trying to tear the faith out of our souls and morality out of our hearts, so that we may remain Catholics, remain united to the Blessed Virgin Mary, remain united to the Roman Catholic Church, remain faithful children of the Church."- Abp. Lefebvre
