Dear Faithful on the Battlefield of the Church Militant,

A famous U.S. Marine General was known to say: "They are in front of us, behind us, and we are flanked on both sides by an enemy that outnumbers us… they can't get away from us now!" The situation for the Catholic Resistance is the same: We are surrounded on all sides; Modernist Rome in front of us, sedevacantists to the right, compromising groups to the left (viz. St. Peter's Fraternity, Conciliar-SSPX, St. John Vianney in Campos, Brazil, Good Shepherd Institute, Christ the King Institute, etc.), and the Fake Resistance clergy in the rear!

The same Marine also added: "We're surrounded, that simplifies the problem." Truth often stands in the middle of two extremes, extremes to the right and to the left. Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre often said: "We are neither Modernists nor schismatics." He steered carefully between a false obedience by an over-exaggerated application of papal infallibility (i.e. "The Pope is infallible in all he says therefore we must obey"), and on the other hand, an exaggerated disobedience by completely rejecting the lawful authority itself (i.e. the Pope committed scandal, therefore he's not the Pope!").

Abp. Lefebvre kept on the ground of Truth by understanding the restrictions the First Vatican Council placed on Papal Infallibility; the Pope is only infallible when he 1.) speaks on matters of faith and morals; 2.) he speaks as head of the Church; and 3.) he binds all the faithful everywhere. Oftentimes, the Pope when acting infallibly, will add a condemnation or anathema on those defiantly rejecting the matter declared, such as in the Council of Trent and the Syllabus of Errors of Pius IX. For instance, "If anyone says that Mass should be celebrated in the vernacular,…let him be anathema" (Council of Trent: Denzinger #1759).

A Pope speaking in a book in which he publishes his opinions or in a private interview on a flight does not, at all, fall under infallibility.

The First Vatican Council (1870 A.D.) also sets clear limits on just how far the Pope can go in his teachings. He is not allowed to depart from Catholic Tradition by introducing novelties and changes foreign to the practice of the Church, especially when the Church has already condemned them. An example of this is found in "Auctorem Fidei" of Pius VI which forbids priests praying the Canon of the Mass out loud! (cf. Errors of the Synod of Pistoia: Denzinger #2633).

On a more critical level, that of Doctrine, the Popes of the Second Vatican Council promoting the errors of Religious Liberty, False Ecumenism, and Collegiality depart from the constant Ordinary Magisterium of the Church. This is why Abp. Lefebvre opposed these errors head-on and had a booklet published titled: "I Accuse the Council!" He gave ample evidence to these Popes that they were departing from the official teachings of the Church and introducing poisonous novelties and errors that would have catastrophic consequences for souls.

All this accentuates the position of Abp. Lefebvre and his Catholic Resistance. The enemy is on all sides: some on the left, with their subtle attempts at compromising with Vatican II and the New Mass, by trying to excuse their errors and legitimize the illegitimate New Mass. Others on the right, who fall into sedevacantism (of which there are over 100 varieties!) and say there's no Pope anymore, while the more logical ones among these, attempt merely human solutions by electing their own "popes." Then in the front is Modernist Rome, suffocating in the grip of the Synagogue of Satan and Judeo-Freemasonry. We have Popes misusing their authority to promote Vatican II's errors and the evil program of the Globalists. Our Lord gave them the supreme authority to teach, protect, and promote the Catholic Faith. But when they use it to teach and promote Error, then they have a right to our disobedience. This is well explained in numerous talks of Abp. Lefebvre, for example, in his book "Open Letter to Confused Catholics," in the chapter: On True Obedience.

Let's not forget the enemy to the rear; the Fake Resistance! Quite honestly, they maintain the façade of Tradition and keep the valid and true Mass and sacraments, but betray the Fight of Tradition by their overwhelming silence, Masonic-type tactics, and cowardly behavior (with some rare exceptions). These are the followers of the personality of the late Bp. Williamson, who out of false human respect, kept silence when he heavily promoted the following errors: "the New Mass gives grace," "one can nourish their faith with the New Mass," "this is not the time for seminaries," "there is no Resistance but only pockets of 'Resist-ants,'" promotion of Novus Ordo Eucharistic "miracles" and even visions condemned by the Index, etc.

His followers should remember the solemn warning of Pope Pius VI in "Auctorem Fidei" that to remain silent in the face of Error harms not only a local part of the Church but the entire Church! "It is not a matter of the danger of only one diocese: Any novelty at all assails the Universal Church!" ("Auctorem Fidei," 1794). It is a cowardly silence for which they will have to render an account as shepherds over the Lord's flock.

"We're surrounded, that simplifies the problem!" Enemies are trying to dissolve the Faith on every side! So it was Abp. Lefebvre who gave us the guidelines to navigate through all this confusion by handing down to us the treasures of Tradition he received! "I have handed down what I received" (I Cor. 15:3) and those treasures for which we owe him such gratitude for passing down, are:

● The doctrines of the Unchanging Magisterium of the Church which condemns Vatican II & New Mass;
● The great Papal Encyclicals of the Popes from Pius VI to Pius XII condemning Modernism and all the other "isms";
● The Tridentine Mass;
● The True Sacraments uncontaminated by the new "Reforms";
● The Combat for the Faith which puts Doctrine above any canonical solutions and phony Agreements with Modernist Rome;
● The proper understanding that the Mass is secondary to the Faith, hence, avoiding the errors of the "Indult Mass" crowd and clergy, shamefully agreeing to be silent on doctrine, in order to have the Latin Mass;
● The love and defense of the Catholic Church as our Mother and the True Church and not just protecting our "little altar" in the Pantheon-of-all-Religions of the Conciliar Church;
● The clear distinction between the Catholic Church and the "Conciliar" Church (a necessary distinction dropped by Bp. Fellay);
● The spirit of the Catholic counter-Revolution openly combating the Errors destroying the Church, not resisting in secret;
● The crusade for the large family;
● The restoration of the sanctity and purpose of the Catholic priesthood;
● The public and vocal defense of the Faith against Modernism;
● The missionary spirit of the saints to convert all to the True Faith;
● The necessity to continually strive for holiness by carrying the Cross;
● Etc., etc.

Our Blessed Mother foretold all these catastrophes in the Church and civil society in Quito, Ecuador when She spoke to Mother Marianna of Jesus. To our great consolation, She also foretold Her tremendous role in overthrowing the grip of the Freemasonic lodges on the Church, when She said: "When everything will seem lost and paralyzed, that will be the happy beginning of the complete restoration. This will mark the arrival of My hour, when I, in a marvelous way, will dethrone the proud and cursed Satan, trampling him under My feet and fettering him in the infernal abyss" (December, 1634). It is, indeed, the promise echoed by Our Lady of Fatima: "In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph!"
