Roger Calmel's Brief Apologia for the Church of... - Stone - 01-29-2026 The following was kindly forwarded to us, translated from the French: From Le Sel de la terre (Dominicans of Avrillé): “Archbishop Lefebvre held Father Calmel in high esteem. In March 1991, at Econe, the night before his hospitalization, he said with great joy to a priest of the Society of Saint Pius X: 'The Sisters of Brignoles have just given me a copy of the reissue of The Mysteries of the Kingdom of Grace. What a treasure this book is! Father Emmanuel and Father Calmel are two authors whom I highly recommend. They are deeply Thomistic and they led in the Church, each in their own time, the same battle as ours.'”
